History of the non-profit created to buy the Manitou Passage Shoal Light, also known as The Crib, from the United States Coast Guard. They are restoring the Crib to be historically accurate, and the Coast Guard has upgraded and maintains the navigation light in the tower. The structure was purchased for $75,000, but restoration has already required raising $600,000, and they are not done yet. This presentation was made to the Cruisers, a group of sailors operating within the Grand Traverse Yacht Club.
