Students from the Interlochen Arts Academy Symphony Orchestra and their Conductor Byron Hanson were honored to perform at The Ronald McDonald Charities Recognition Banquet in 1991. In addition, President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter were in attendance. Also performing was Walt Whitman and The Soul Children of Chicago and Dr. Walker J. Turnbull and The Boys Choir of Harlem. Bill Kurtis, American Television Journalist, Producer, Narrator and News Anchor, was host for the evening.\n
