The League of Women Voters Leelanau County invites you to view our virtual Celebrate Womens History Month Forum. Learn about the lives of three Leelanau County women: Linda Woods, an Odawa Elder, Veteran and Tribal Member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians from Peshawbestown: Rosie Vasquez, who at the age of twelve moved to Lake Leelanau when her mother brought her family there as a migrants to work in the fields; and Kim Kelderhouse, Executive Director of the Leelanau Historical Society who will speak about the life of Emelia Christine Schaub, a lawyer and Michigans first elected woman prosecutor.
