The League of Women Voters is educating voters on Micgan's fair and secure elections in light of a ballot proposal that would make voting harder for many people. Secure MI Vote has received approval of a petition with the State Board of Canvassers AND is collecting signatures now to enact citizen-led legislation to: take away Election Day voting options and make absentee voting less accessible and gut funding for election administration in Michigan. The League of Women Voters of Leelanau, along with other local Leagues and the League of Women Voters of Michigan, oppose the Secure MI Vote measures and supports Michigan's current voter validation system that has worked for decades. This program examines legislative attempts to weaken Michigan Voter's Rights and discusses approved changes to the Leelanau County Redistricting Map.
